PHYSICS: WEEK 5

E=mc2 affects me in many ways.  The equation comes into play every time I'm doing something, whether it's eating, walking, breathing or driving a car.  In other words, the effects of E=mc2 are revealed whenever energy is consumed in any kind of activity.  The thing that blows me away is that energy and mass are interchangeable in Einstein's equation. Therefore, everything can be considered energy and what we perceive as solid objects or mass is actually a false perception.  Mass is actually energy in a lower vibrational rate.

“Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter.”
                                                                                                                 -Albert Einstein

The four fundamental forces of nature are gravitational force, weak nuclear force,  electromagnetic force and strong nuclear force.  In terms of strength, gravitational force is the weakest and strong nuclear force is the strongest.  Although gravitational force is the weakest, it is very long ranged and is characterized by its function of attracting matter.   The weak force has a very short range and is responsible for radioactive decay and neutrino interactions.  Electromagnetic force has a long range and causes electric and magnetic effects such as repulsion or attraction.  Electricity, light and magnetism are results of this force.  Strong nuclear force has a very short range and is very strong.  It can either be repulsive or attractive depending on the circumstance and is responsible for holding the nuclei of atoms together.

The coolest part of learning about the four forces is “spontaneous symmetry breaking,” which is the process of the forces separating from each other during the formation of the universe.  I think of the great formless Tao and how everything arose from this primordial sea.  Even as I learn about the four forces, it is undeniable that even the forces had once been in an inseparable unity.

Comments

  1. whoa, spontaneous symmetric breaking, that's a very cool concept. It's like everything has this innate knowledge to know what to next in its existence. I wonder if it actually innate or if there's some other force delineating this change to occur or if it's really just a random sequence of events that have played out in this order for no real reason. Existentialism! :) Also that comment about how mass is actually a energy in a lower vibrational rate is very interesting. So objects that have higher vibrational rates are not able to be seen? Maybe they are like our meridian pathways where we can't see them but they are still there and able to be manipulated

  2. thank you so much for make it so simple to understand the subject about forces but can I ask you do you think that we should count gravity as a force or not since they do not count it as a force.Thank You.

  3. Oooh the idea that the forces were from one primordial force - like how the Chong channel was the first meridian from which all the others came. 1 = Chong. 2 = Ren/Du or Yin/Yang. and from 2 comes many.

They could almost be understood in terms of mythological archetypes: Strong nuclear = the Creatrix, which brings forth structure from a formless void; Electromagnetic = the dual deities of love and war; Weak nuclear force = the spark of innovation? Small changes which change the destiny of nations. Maybe that last one is a stretch
